This LIVE 2-hour session is designed to teach Professionals (Mental Health, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement), Families, and Community Members how to create trusting relationships with people who have serious mental illness (SMI) and anosognosia – lack of insight resulting in conflict, relapse, homelessness, criminalization, suicide, and treatment refusal.
Learn how to address the obstacles created by anosognosia, and to develop collaborative alliances that lead to mutual respect and engagement of treatment and services — including medication, psychotherapy, psychosocial programs, peer-support, supervised housing, and to partner with people who are trying to help.
